As we are in third year we have to start to think about the future and making our portfolios, as i have an interest in make up and am thinking about doing a make-up and prosthetics course after uni i have agreed to doing the make up and hair for the fashion shoots done by photographers Ria Joynes and Genea Bailey. The first of the fashion shoots was a typical beauty shot, as it was the first one we didn’t really know what to expect, so i was asked to do simple make up for the shoot.
I feel that because it was our first shoot, that it went well and we know we can do better for the next time, because it was a typical beauty shoot i tried to keep the make up minimal and decided to use the lips as the stand out point on the face. I decided to do this because her eyes are very large and beautiful that you are automatically drawn to them anyway, but she has very full lips that should also be made to stand out. I used the deep red because i felt it contrasted well with the dark colours of the clothes and her dark skin, i thought it would just make them stand out even more.
