The idea of a role model.

If you’ve looked through my black book (images on the previous post folks) you’ll know that for the symposium im going to look at role models for woman and how they have changed sense the ‘Golden Days’ with woman such as Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day and Marilyn Monroe to woman today like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse. And how they have influenced the young girls today. I’m also going to look at the media and how they also influence woman today, with TV programs such as Skins,Shameless and even programs like ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ where all the girls are pretty bloody stupid and somehow its made to look cute so when girls watch it they think behaving like that is adorable and a trait considered attractive to So i began my ONLINE search by basically typing in “role models” on google to see what came up. Straight away my eyes where caught by a article by ‘i-D online’ and its september 25th 2012 issue ‘The Role Model Issue: Role Models by Edward Enninful and Emma Summerton’, starting off with a quote that i love and i think half the woman nowa days should have little read of “A role model knows how to combine refinement, grace and manners without losing composure.” Aymeline Valade.
